I simply got my laptop (windows 8.1) repaired with replacement beingness installed equipment. Something I noticed only worse is how the effulgence F keys exercise not reply. The F2 and F3 keys work themselves, but not the special role. It's actually weird that others work very well, as the volume.

I take laptop Satellite P300 - 18M and the primary operating arrangement is Windows Vista, but I change with Xp Prof later I installed all the drivers, everything seems that works fine but I accept a niggling problem with the special function keys.

For example, I hit the mute button and it doesn t silent... the play button or forrad, they work.

I'm presenting the aforementioned study that I sent in back up but repost it hither in case where I do not get a useful solution.

Yesterday, I reset my Toshiba Satellite C55 A5310 (Part #PSCF6U-0EF066 Serial #9D362065Q). It was the factory reset, then had 10 Windows reinstalled automatically. After the reboot, my special function keys were set back from the normal function of F1 - 12 and didn't notice any way to modify. Toshiba parameters have been removed after the reboot (not my fault), so I searched in my BIOS settings, but don't found no available keyboard choice, then reinstalled the possible necessary drivers to alter their back (Toshiba Service Station and HW Setup). HW installation provided the ability to apply any special functions or default settings Fn, but later choosing special keys, apply and ok - nothing has changed. I ran the programme as an administrator and however no change.

Existence simply sixteen years with just a bones agreement of the functions of the computer I please inquire no simple solution non requiring any sort of 'hacking' or adjust the permissions (that made me in the first identify) or editing the registry. I'm new to the forum so delight excuse my lack of computer skills.

Where my issues began, is that I deleted the driver of my calculator keyboard.
I reinstalled and now works with the exception of the function keys.

I tried to install Hotkeys out of the Toshiba spider web site without success. It will not exist loaded on the calculator for me.
I also reinstalled "utilities" and in doing so the affect pad mouse has stopped working.

Is someone able to offer, for me, what should I do to gear up this?

I never heard of a keyboard driver deleting, just if some of your buttons work so I think the software is very good. It may be a loose keyboard connector is loose, which is located under your keyboard effectually the buttons 'Fred '.

So I installed WinXP SP3 and all the drivers downloaded from the Toshiba support page. The machine works well, but some of the function keys, namely Fn + F1, F2, F3, F4, and Toshiba Zoom do not piece of work. All others are OK.

What can be the reason?

To install the drivers it is non enough. For some functions, you must install the tools of Toshiba on the Toshiba site.
Install the utilities of the shortcut central and the Toshiba Utilities.
