Issues fixed [edit]

Game does not start when using AMD/ATI video graphics cards on Windows viii and later [edit]

Use jackfuste's "MSTS_AMD_BUGFIX.EXE" to create a patched version of an ATI .DLL file [three]
  1. Install the game as normal.
  2. Locate "atiumdag.dll" on 64-bit Windows at "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" and on 32-bit Windows at "C:\Windows\System32".
  3. Copy "atiumdag.dll" to the root of your Microsoft Train Simulator install folder (typically "C:\Programme Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Railroad train Simulator" on 64-bit Windows or "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator" on 32-bit Windows)
  4. Download and run "MSTS_AMD_BUGFIX.EXE", a program by jackfuste.
  5. In "Target File", find the copy of "atiumdag.dll" in your Microsoft Train Simulator install folder.
  6. Printing "Start". Y'all should see a dialog box that reads "atiumdag.dll - File successfully patched! (3 bytes written)"
  7. At present, install "TRAIN_UPDATE1.EXE" or the appropriate version for your language (eastward.g, "TRAIN_UPDATE1_DE.EXE" for the German linguistic communication version). Brand sure to select the correct game install binder if you changed information technology from default while installing the game.
  8. Once finished, right-click "railroad train.exe", click backdrop, select the compatibility tab, and gear up compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2 or 3 and select "Run this program as an ambassador".
This fix may cap the game to 25-xxx frames per 2d while in fullscreen mode.
