Permissions for users

To install GWSMO, users must take local administrator permissions for their machines. If yous demand help, contact your admin.

Port requirements

Protocols

GWSMO uses HTTPS to connect to Google services using a proprietary GWSMO-specific Gmail sync protocol. It also uses the post-obit APIs:

GWSMO doesn't use IMAP or SMTP.

Option one: Push an MSI file to your users

    • Cord value—Value name: FreeBusyURL; Value data: <URL for the Calendar connector>

      Example:

Import data

Integration with Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlook

With GWSMO, your users tin import data from an Commutation account or Outlook PST file. To do this, GWSMO uses a separate migration product, Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlook (GWMMO). GWSMO launches the GWMMO migration product automatically and, in most cases, users won't even notice they're using a split up product.

GWSMO launches the migration product when the user:

  • Imports data when they recreate or make some other user profile. For details, go to Recreate or supersede your profile.
  • Imports data afterward they create their contour. For details, get to Import your Outlook data afterward.

GWMMO every bit a standalone migration production

What's imported?
